Properties of Zirconia Ceramics

As a new type of ceramic material, Zirconium oxide (ZrO,) has excellent physical and chemical properties. It is an important raw material for refractory materials, high-temperature structural materials, biological materials and electronic materials, and is widely used in industrial production.

High-purity zirconia is white, generally yellow or gray. Low thermal conductivity, good thermal stability and low high temperature creep are the main characteristics of ceramics. The thermal conductivity of ceramics is much lower than other ceramics. The melting point is 2715. The deformation temperature of pure dense sintered body is as high as 2400~2500, and the creep temperature of products produced by general industrial pure production is also as high as 2200. Therefore, ceramics are ideal materials for high temperature insulation and structural materials. Ceramics have stable chemical properties and are not infiltrated with most molten metals. .
